News From Nowhere

You ever think about someone and that person calls you, or shows up at the front door with a bag of clothes that needs cleaning? Some people think that a psychic connection, some people call it coincidence, some people call it the Law of Attraction. But tell me this, what does this accomplish? Why have it if it doesn't do anything for you?

I know people who constantly think the worse of things, like their house is going to get robbed, or the cat's going to throw up, or that someone they know is going to get into a car accident. And then those things happen. The problem is, they didn't do anything to stop it! They just sat around being worried and thinking about it. Why?

My point is, you might as well think about good things, so that if they don't happen, the worst is that you kept yourself thinking good thoughts, and didn't needlessly worry about silly things. And when it does happen, you won't be a loser.

  1. I agree that we might as well think pleasant thoughts.

Perhaps the reason that what we think comes to life is that we are the programmers of our own lives.

One common explanation of life is: A creator creates creatures and maps out every single aspect of their lives upon creation.

But perhaps in our case: A creator creates creatures that create their own narratives via their thoughts.
